Barbara Sophie Gannon

Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, to Warren and Sophie Kubacki, Barbara spent many happy years in her hometown before relocating to Florida in the early 2000s. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Martin Gannon, whom she married in 1962 after the two met while working at Stop & Shop in New Bedford.

Barbara is lovingly survived by her children, Kelli Gonet and John Gannon.

Barbara began her career as a cashier at Stop & Shop before enjoying a long career with Sears Roebuck & Company.

Barbara embraced her community at Normandy Park South, where she formed many lasting friendships and enjoyed spending time by the pool and participating in community activities. She also found great fulfillment volunteering with Suncoast Hospice for over 15 years.

A devoted baseball fan, Barbara became an enthusiastic supporter of the Tampa Bay Rays and especially cherished attending games with her son, John, and her many friends.

In accordance with Barbara's wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
